The frosty weather is approaching suddenly, but my gas furnace stopped working! I only have a couple weeks before the frosty weather comes, plus I have no other way to heat the house. I’ve always relied on this furnace, but the furnace has started showing its age. The furnace is nearly 17 years old, so it’s reaching death suddenly. When my furnace stopped working during the previous winter, the Heating and A/C business told me that it could be salvaged, but it would be better off replaced entirely. I wouldn’t have to worry about the constant breakdowns if I had a new furnace. However, I really didn’t want to purchase a new furnace at that time, so I asked them what needed to fix on the furnace plus how much it would cost me. The price that they offered me was outrageous, so I jotted down the piece that they said needed to be replaced. I waited a long while, because I didn’t see the need to replace the furnace during the summer months, although I do now. I’ve taken apart the furnace several times now, but the furnace won’t work. I just can’t find clear directions on the internet on how to repair my particular furnace. However, I don’t have the money to pay a professional Heating and A/C business to repair the furnace for me. If I don’t find a way to repair this furnace myself, my current home will freeze over this winter. I can’t afford to do that. I’ve got a baby on the way, plus I have to be a fantastic Mom plus keep my new baby warm with the furnace!
